Yes, I am still using iHostasp.net. I just cannot find another company with the same offerings, plus I guess you get used to things the way they are.

I know I have setup Wordpress before, not sure if it was at ihostasp or godaddy, but I couldn't find it nonetheless. This site runs at wordpress.com, not at ihostasp.

I have had simulure issues installing PHP products at ihostasp. I think it was drupal that wouldn't load at all because globals are enabled.

I will give it a go and see what I can find out; I'll try it out tonight.

Hey there,

I found an old blog post of yours from back in 2007 about you and ihost, so i check to see if your current site is still there - think it is. So I am wondering if you could help me out a bit.

Here I am in this week, in fact all week, struggling with trying to get Wordpress installed for a domain on my ihostasp account.

I have found little to no information how to get this working, and as much as I like the folks at ihostasp, they aren’t the speediest. Each day I get one step further but still cannot make things happen.

So far I think what the issue is ihostasp won’t give my MySQL admin user full privileges to create/connect to the database. I have the user and mysql db created in ihosasp control panel, but no way to set privileges.

Can you offer me any tips to get Wordpress up and running at ihostasp?

Thanks much.
